University Apartment Manager
Primary Responsibilities:  The primary function of this position is to provide leadership to on-campus apartment residents and serve primarily in the roles of supervisor, educator, counselor, and administrator.  The Apartment Manager has the responsibility for developing and maintaining residential communities which foster the growth and success of Mercer students.  The Manager reports directly to the Assistant Dean for Campus Life.  This position will work closely with the Housing Assistant and the Student Affairs team (Dean of Students, Campus Life, Counseling, Health Services, and Wellness & Recreation). 


Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Higher Education Administration/Student Personnel Services or related field preferred. Previous experience in Residence Life strongly desired. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. A demonstrated commitment to community development within the campus environment is essential. No additional job responsibilities outside the University
.

Benefits:
This is a part-time, 12-month position. Annual stipend is $6,000 plus a fully furnished apartment with utilities, internet, basic cable and local telephone service provided.

Duties:
• To lead Resident Assistants in creating a community atmosphere in the Apartments;

• Assist in staff selection, training, and supervision;

• Adjudicate disciplinary cases with-in housing contract guidelines;

• Administer the programming budget for Housing, advise Resident Activities Council (RAC), plan weekend activities;

• Assist with resident assignments, room changes and Conference Housing;

• Coordinate administrative functions in the area to include damage assessment, student billing, room inspections, check-in, and check-out;

• Participate in the Residence Life on-call rotation;

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean for Campus Life.
